Recently, UNESCO has declared it " Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity ". In fact, this carnival is to honor the Blessed Virgin of Sokavon, which is the patroness of Bolivian miners. But religious context is just a convention. First of all, this is a folk festival. The whole country is involved in it. Every school and company is proud to present their team on a spectacular dance-play march. Nobody can remain indifferent to bright masks, beautiful costumes and colorful rhythms of Dyablada, Morenada, Kaporalesa, a dance "tax collectors". Moreover, each dance has its meaning, and in performance is full of humor - people's imagination knows no boundaries.
