Select the country and object's type Medoff Film Refuge to open White Sands International Film Festival of Las Cruces

Las Cruces, NM - A screening of the feature film Refuge, written and directed by Tony® Award winner Mark Medoff, will open the 2011 White Sands International Film Festival of Las Cruces to be held August 25th through 28th.

Refuge is comedic drama about a woman on the run after killing her abusive husband whose body is decomposing in her RV, and a romance she strikes up with a younger man along the way.

The film stars Linda Hamilton (Terminator, Terminator 2), Christopher McDonald (Happy Gilmore, Thelma and Louise) and Chris Payne Gilbert (CSI: Miami, The Shield.)

Medoff is a well respected screenwriter, playwright, director and actor who resides in Las Cruces, NM. He is known for many of his works including Children of a Lesser God, Clara\'s Heart, City of Joy, Homage and Good Guys Wear Black.

A private VIP reception will follow the opening night screening of Refuge will allow attendees the opportunity to meet Medoff, Hamilton and the film\'s producers.

The White Sands International Film Festival, in its 6th year, brings together films from around the world to showcase the skills and talents of amateur and professional filmmakers alike. The festival is a 4 day event running August 25-28, 2011 with film screenings, workshops and VIP parties in the friendly city of Las Cruces, NM.
