Select the country and object's type Seven arts and seven cities. Welcome to Kuhmo to enjoy the music and write!

The Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival this summer features seven arts and travels to seven cities. In addition to traditional chamber music, the programme includes such large-scale works as Bach’s St. Matthew Passion.

We do hope representatives of your media will be able to cover the Festival. There is so much to hear and write about: no fewer than 73 events and nearly 200 musicians from some 20 countries. As in previous years, each media rep producing stories about Kuhmo is entitled to one press ticket per concert. We are therefore asking you to fill in the attached form giving details of your representative(s) and attendance so that we can reserve the right number of seats.

As the number of press seats is limited, we can issue press tickets only to people who have sought accreditation in advance. Please fill in the form and return it by June 30, 2014 to Kuhmo Chamber Music, Torikatu 39, 88900 KUHMO, Finland, or email it to [email protected]. We still have a traditional fax as well: +358 8 652 1961.

The Kuhmo Chamber Music Press Office is in the Kuhmo Arts Centre. An opening press conference will be held at 1 pm on Monday July 14. Any further press conferences will be announced during the Festival. The press tickets for the day’s concerts will be available at the Press Office from 10 am on weekdays. The Office opening hours have changed, so that the Office will now be open from 10 am to 4 pm on weekdays and from 11 am to 2 pm on Sundays. The Press Office staff can be contacted at any time of the day and night – if necessary – with enquiries about tickets, interviews, etc.

The Press Officer is Juhani Koivisto, the photographer Stefan Bremer and the Press Assistant Aino Jaakkola. During the actual Festival, photos can be downloaded from our website. At the moment, our website shows photos from previous years.

The telephone number of the Press Office from July 13 onwards is +358-44-731 6262. Juhani Koivisto can also be contacted on +358-40-508 9896. For photo requests, please contact Stefan Bremer via the Press Office. If you have any requests before the Festival, please address them to the Kuhmo Office (details below).

Looking forward to seeing you in Kuhmo,
